A visit to this apartment will acquaint one with the distinct style that the designer engages in this modern space. By sealing a design direction and being clear about what it is that he would like to convey, the designer takes his design of black, white and red a long way. Without the need to dilute this palette with other colours, the designer engages black, white and anuance of red to solidify a look that is near graphical.

Here, the living area is visually segregated from the rest of the living space as it sits atop a raised wooden platform. To make this separation more pronounced, the designer positions a divider at the edge of the living area.

Apart from serving the visual purpose of dividing the space, the designer ensures that these elements help make an impression on the space. Where layers of black and white are interlaced, streaks of red are introduced to give the overall design a different touch. To add to the interpretation of modern sensibility, the designer cleverly mixes textures and scale to create visual depth.

A recurring theme in this home, the mix of black and white is juxtaposed such that their composition adds contrast and interest to the space. Beside the living area, a white panel, layered with bold lines of black, becomes a visual element that distracts one from its other purpose of concealing a door.

The interplay of black and white is continued in the dining area.

By keeping a good balance between light and dark, the space is imbued with an air of harmony that makes it all the more inviting.

Doused in a near black, but given some interest with the use of patterned wallpaper, this intimate bedroom space is not without an air of sophistication that makes it aligned to the design in the rest of this modern abode. Here, the use of various light sources creates pockets of light and dark such that the space becomes even more intriguing.
