The design of this home thrives on the harmonious balance of varied elements. Purity of unhurried lines meets soft impressions of curves in a fashion that offers interest. Here, the interplay of white and dark brown offers a contrast that deeply enriches the palette. Designs are kept mostly simple, yet not lacking in modern vocabulary.

Elegance in the living area is mirrored in the dining area. The same tones reappear to facilitate visual continuity throughout. But combined with classic and modern elements, the dining area is a glorious space to take in.

Focus is drawn to high ceiling proportions with long dazzling lights that drop from the top.

While the indoors carries a distinct note of class, the outdoors is a different interpretation of space with a casual setting that blends well with the natural elements in the open.

The designer gives equal attention to the details in the master bedroom, the dilemma of redefining the elements of design to suit the new owner’s taste and lifestyle but maintaining a congruous relationship with the existing design elements, prods her to decide on retaining the existing columns of black baroque theme as an architectural focus doused with matte palette of blacks, greys and browns. The space exudes a cool mix that results in a contemporary character.

A spacious walk-in wardrobe, specially crafted to house the homeowner’s considerable collection of clothes and accessories, appears bigger than it really is with see-through walls. This not only creates the optical illusion of a larger space, but also aids the flow of light and space throughout.

Elsewhere in the children’s bedroom, vivid colours and a more sporadic arrangement of customised storage lends an atmosphere of play. The space exudes a cool mix that results in a contemporary character.  The remaining rooms in this house are given a design treatment that is no less appealing.

The designer exhibits ingenuity in coordinating dramatic prints infused with modern lines that make a bold statement in an otherwise monotonous space, carefully cutting elements into an efficient size for its intended purpose, which shows the designer’s consideration to the owner’s interest in playing a rare stringed musical instrument.

Instantaneously, a conversation room pops with interest.

By bringing conflicting elements together, and successfully equilibrating these opposites, the designer creates a space that is sensual and exquisite. On the whole, the design gives a nod to luxurious living, making a strong showing of streamlined modernism.
